Obtained his degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of America in Bogota Colombia and has more than 14 years of experience in the design of a wide range of mechanical equipment and components. He is very proficient in the use of 2D/3D, FEA and CFD software.

Andres is a Member of Engineers Australia, a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) and is currently part of the National Professional Engineers Register (NPER) and Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ).

Andres’ early years as a professional engineer were working in the pharmaceutical industry providing technical support and designing autoclaves. After his arrival to Australia in 2006 he joined a construction company and was in charge of design of a new steel formwork system and all the equipment required to fabricate formwork shutters.

He has been involved in other projects such as, construction, design and supervision of transportable concrete buildings, design of mining equipment, perpetual energy systems and more.

Obtained his master degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Technology in Slovakia, where he studied machinery for agriculture, civil engineering and processing. He has more than fifteen years of experience in areas such as 3D and 2D CAD, FEA and CFD, is also a certified SolidWorks Professional and instructor, owning eight CAD, PDM, FEA and CFD SolidWorks certificates.

He was part of an automotive R&D centre in Europe, working as a design engineer for control panel division of Valeo Climate control and HVAC department. Here, he gained experience in injection moulding and consumer product design and in the product’s lifecycle management.

Tomas was part of SolidWorks reseller community for more than three years as an Intercad’s application engineer, trainer and FEA/CFD specialist. Here he obtained six SolidWorks CAD/FEA and CFD certifications and became recognised among the SolidWorks community through user group meetings, SolidWorks World presentations, training sessions and support sessions.

In 2009 Tomas started his own contracting and consultancy business and to this date, has completed over 250 projects from various industries. His experience is growing every day as the business is involved in many different project areas and project types, ranging from fabrication, through to consumer product design, machine design to FEA and CFD verification and many others.
